MP Skin Education
Practical skin cancer education for GPs and GP registrars.

MP Skin Education

At MP Skin Check, we believe that practical experience and shared knowledge can help build confidence in the assessment and management of skin cancer in general practice.

Supporting better skin cancer care in general practice

Skin cancer is frequently encountered in general practice, and having confidence in assessing suspicious lesions, selecting appropriate investigations and understanding when referral is appropriate can make a valuable difference to patient care.

Practical Workshops

MP Skin Education has been established to provide practical learning opportunities for GPs and GP registrars who are interested in developing their skills in skin cancer diagnosis, dermoscopy and procedural management.
.

Clinical Observerships

The program will include small-group practical workshops, clinical observerships and other educational opportunities designed to provide useful, hands-on learning that can be applied in everyday general practice.

Practical learning opportunities for GP's and GP registrars

How it works

Observerships

Observerships provide an opportunity to see skin cancer consultations and procedures in a real clinical setting.

This allows great opportunities to gain insight into how lesions are assessed, investigated and managed.

Observerships are informal and are subject to patient consent, clinic availability and appropriate clinical circumstances.

The sessions are intended to complement existing GP training and provide practical exposure to the day-to-day management of skin cancer.
